High Alpine Lavender Oil Supplier: Bulk and Wholesale Options

High Alpine Lavender essential oil is the concentrated liquid containing
volatile aroma compounds steam distilled from the lavender plant.

The immediate attraction and use of lavender essential oil is in the perfume industry for its fresh, sweet and slightly fruity floral smell.

This essential oil, like most others, is usually used mixed with a base or carrier oil like sweet almond, grapeseed, jojoba, avocado and others, unless it is for your bath, when you can simply add a few drops in your bath water.

Use this oil for a pleasant fragrance or aromatherapy with an oil burner or vaporiser. In aromatherapy, it is often used to combat depression, stress, and fatigue

Always consult an authorised practitioner when using lavender essential oil as a health remedy or for aromatherapy.

Are Ancient Wisdom Essential Oils 100% pure? +

Yes. Ancient Wisdom Essential Oils are supplied as pure, undiluted essential oils unless the product is clearly described as a Dilute, Blend or similar preparation.

We believe transparency is essential. When an oil has been diluted in a carrier oil, the product name and specification will clearly indicate this so you and your customers know exactly what you are buying.

Why are some Rose, Jasmine and Neroli oils diluted? +

Rose, Jasmine and Neroli are among the most precious materials in aromatherapy. Large quantities of flowers are required to produce a very small amount of aromatic extract, making the pure versions exceptionally concentrated and expensive.

Rather than replacing them with synthetic fragrance or offering a suspiciously cheap imitation, we provide clearly labelled diluted versions alongside selected pure absolutes. For example, our Rose Dilute and Jasmine Dilute are supplied at 5% in Grapeseed Oil, creating a practical and affordable option while retaining the character of the genuine botanical extract.

Always check the individual product specification for the precise dilution and carrier oil used.

What is the difference between a pure essential oil, an absolute, a dilute and a fragrance oil? +

A pure essential oil is an undiluted aromatic botanical extract, generally obtained through steam distillation or cold pressing.

An absolute is a highly concentrated aromatic extract usually obtained through solvent extraction. This method is often used for delicate flowers such as Rose and Jasmine, which do not readily release their aroma through normal steam distillation.

A dilute combines a genuine essential oil or absolute with a named carrier oil, such as Grapeseed Oil. The concentration should always be clearly stated.

A fragrance oil is a different product category created primarily for scent. It may contain synthetic aromatic materials and should not be presented as a pure essential oil.

Are AW Essential Oils suitable for professional aromatherapists? +

The range is used by aromatherapists, massage professionals, salons, wellbeing businesses and experienced home users looking for dependable quality and consistency.

Essential oils have been at the heart of Ancient Wisdom since the company began in Sheffield in 1995. Our very first product was Lavender Essential Oil, and AW Lavender remains a strong favourite with professional and knowledgeable users more than thirty years later.

We understand that aromatherapists need oils they can reorder with confidence. Maintaining this range is not a side-line for AW—it is part of our heritage and one of the foundations of the business.

Are these “therapeutic-grade” essential oils? +

The phrase therapeutic grade is widely used in essential-oil marketing, but it is not an independently regulated or universally recognised quality grade.

We prefer to describe AW oils as professional-quality essential oils and support that description with clear product information, trusted sourcing, appropriate technical documentation and decades of experience supplying the aromatherapy trade.

Where are Ancient Wisdom Essential Oils sourced and bottled? +

Our oils are selected from established producers and trusted sources around the world, often from regions associated with the particular botanical.

They are packed and produced through our own specialist aromatics operation in Sheffield. Keeping this important work within our own production facility gives us closer control over handling, filling, packaging, presentation and consistency.

What quality and safety documentation is available? +

Safety Data Sheets, Technical Data Sheets, Certificates of Analysis, IFRA documentation and allergen declarations are available for many products. Some documents can be downloaded directly from the individual product page, while others may be available from our team on request.

The documents available can vary according to the oil and its intended application, so professional users and manufacturers should check the relevant product page or contact us with the product code they require.

Can essential oils be applied directly to the skin? +

As a general rule, pure essential oils should not be applied undiluted directly to the skin. They are highly concentrated botanical materials and normally need to be blended with a suitable carrier oil at an appropriate level.

Safe dilution depends on the particular oil, the intended application and the person using it. Professional users should consult the individual product information, Safety Data Sheet and recognised aromatherapy safety guidance before use.

A product sold as a dilute has already been mixed at the concentration stated, but users should still check that it is suitable for their intended application.

Can these essential oils be used to make soaps, candles, cosmetics or blends? +

Many of our essential oils are purchased by professional makers for use in massage blends, soaps, bath products, home fragrance and cosmetic formulations.

The suitability and permitted concentration depend on the individual oil and the finished product. Manufacturers remain responsible for formulation testing, safety assessment, labelling and compliance with the regulations applying in their market.

Always consult the relevant Safety Data Sheet, IFRA documentation, allergen information and technical documents before placing an oil into a finished product.

Are all Ancient Wisdom Essential Oils organic? +

A pure oil can be genuine and undiluted without the botanical having been grown under certified organic conditions. Customers specifically looking for certified organic products should choose from our separate Organic Essential Oils range and check the certification and product information provided.

Why can the aroma or colour vary slightly between batches? +

Essential oils are natural agricultural products. Their aroma, colour and viscosity can be influenced by the growing region, soil, weather, harvest and natural composition of the plant material.

Small variations are therefore normal and can be a sign of a genuine botanical product rather than a fragrance manufactured to smell identical every time. The oil should still remain recognisable and consistent with the expected character of that botanical.

Store bottles tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and follow the best-before and storage information supplied with the product.

Which essential oils should a new retailer stock first? +

A strong starter selection should include widely recognised oils with clear, familiar aromas and year-round demand. Good foundations include:

Lavender, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Rosemary, Lemon, Orange, Frankincense and Geranium.

Lavender is especially important. It is often a customer’s first essential-oil purchase and can become the product by which they judge the quality of the rest of a retailer’s aromatherapy range.

Once the essential favourites are established, retailers can gradually add specialist oils, precious absolutes, carrier oils, diffusers and blends according to customer demand.
