Wall Hangings - Cotton Block Prints
Very good quality hand-craft made in the northern Indian city of Jaipur using ancient traditional methods and crafts passed down the generations from father to son.
Block painted designs on the wall hangings are made using hand-crafted wooden blocks skilfully positioned with different blocks for each colour and design element. The fixing process changes the finished colours - so the final design is often dramatically different to the work in progress. An artisan can typically spend a day producing just one piece.
Only natural vegetable colours are used.
