Greetings from Malaga, Spain

There are a lot of Banging of Drums this week, hope you can forgive me.

I'm writing this from the AW-Artisan.eu office.. where everything is in full swing.

A container just arrived from Indonesia, and all the team were here very early in the morning, before sunrise.. to unload it.

Yes, a pre-dawn container..

Here in Spain it has never been so busy.. fresh stock arriving and orders flowing out.. the team (MFT) are literally running around like crazy to keep up.

The container unloaded the old fashioned way, because unlike UK and Slovakia warehouses we don't have container docking bays.. it's hard work. But they still managed to dispatch a record number of orders the same day.

With one thing an another.. lots of new customers recently.. We are really going to have to face up to the fact we need a bigger warehouse in Spain as soon as possible.

Last week I was telling you about our trip from Bali, to Jakarta to Istanbul to Malaga.. not as stressful you might think.. if you missed it you can read about it here.

My wife Coco is here.. and the good news to share is that she was granted Spanish residency.. in a couple of weeks she will get a TIE card giving right to remain in Spain.. which is amazing.. we went to our local chiquito for a fish lunch to celebrate... and other things have been resolving also - it seems to have been a week of good news.

We have to thank our man in Spain Mario and his assistant Laura, who put in a lot of hardwork and organising to make it happen. Thanks Guys!

Meanwhile in the UK an Indonesian container also just arrived.. and lots of amazing new products are coming online..

I really don't like to bang our own drum too much.. but in this case I feel I have to.. because the Shamanic drums arrived.. with unique designs to AW making them not only a great gift, but we put a lot of work into finding actually good sounding drums.. all carefully approved by Bondhan, our musical guy in Bali.

Also arrived this week (in the UK) is a new range of ceramic vases, made on Lombok Island and finished artistically on Bali. Some really cool designs with a hole in them. Do-nut vases are (I'm told) on trend..

Also just came in time for the winter season .. Indian Boho Scarves.. and I'm happy to report that they are selling really well, stock up now while we have stock guys. I believe they are really good value for the quality. Not exactly high end fashion, but every world traveller can throw on this kind of scarf to look cool. I have my own collection.

I just realised we were working on the Drums and Ceramic Vases at the same time we started work on the AW-Advantage.com Digital marketing office back in February / March. Tomas is still there with the team.. and it's another product that can help your business and is just launching now.. we are able to take on a few clients.. Banging the Drum again.. we have an amazing team there.. really keen, talented and motivated.. they would love to chat..

Talking of India.. Mr Chatterjee is celebrating the famous local festival of Durga Puja.. I have been there at this time.. it's amazing. All the streets are turned into a living festival of Indian Gods and especially the Goddesses....

There is a lot of banging of drums and chanting and herbal drinks.. incense and ceremonies.. Durga Puja is the best Kolkata festival of the year. It's a riot of a carnival, with beautiful pandals (special immersive displays) throughout the area, the sound of the dhaak drum (very like our drums from Bali), folks dressed in their best clothes and a whole special feast! It kicks off today.. and lasts for four days. I'm sure you will wish Mr Chatterjee and his family and team all the best..

It's all for the Goddess Durga.. (don't ask it's a bit gruesome).

Anyway, enough excitement for one week. Or maybe not.. because there is more Good News..

The new Rolling Stones album is also out today! I'm planning to kick-back and soak it up along with a bit of Spanish sunshine and vino (hopefully).
