Greetings from (wait for it...) Spain!
Yes, we are in Malaga. Just arrived from Bali.
Mission accomplished in Bali, we left Tomas and the team to finish the job in hand (see AW-Advantage.com).. and Coco and I have to make it to Spain for a very important event.. details below.
Last week I was telling you about how we had to "Run like the wind" to catch the connection to Bali.. and all the running like the wind that AW teams are doing right now.. if you missed it you can catch up here.
Sadly we had to say goodbye to Ringo and the team.. Hugs and tears at the airport. We took a good old Airasia flight from Bali to Jakarta, because of the time difference you arrive almost before you leave. From the lowrise provincial but lovely domestic terminal we took the Skytrain to T3. It's a quaint monorail, a little bit dinky with the driver actually just sitting in front of the carriage.. l like it.
T3 is modern and flashy just like any other capital city International airport.. We checked in without any delay at the Turkish Airways counter. Flight to Istanbul, business class, very nice food served by a real chef on board. Then we have an 8-hour connection before the flight down to Malaga, no delays, and amazingly no lost luggage. It is sunny, blue sky and still 25c in the late afternoon. It's nice to finally get home after all these months of traveling.
With a little luck by the time you read this Coco will have acquired a Spanish residence card (called a TIE) which will make travelling to Spain in the future much less hassle. We have an appointment at the local town hall in the morning and another official appointment in the police station in the afternoon. After that we just need to wait for the ID card to be made. I did it a while ago and it's the best thing ever..
Hopefully this weekend we can celebrate with our friends in Spain. Wish us luck.
So that's the important reason to be here in Spain.. but I'm also very much looking forward to catching up with Toni and the team at AW-Artisan.eu like the rest of AW right now they are buzzing and running and might not have time to celebrate.. but this is Spain..
Lots of deals.. and lots of new stock still arriving.
India Incense from Bangalore came.. check it out.. it's all next-level Incense. All sorts of new concepts, all sorts of new exotic fragrances.. Incense is having a resurgence. Regular readers of this newsletter will remember our Epic Nepal and India trip early this year.. we came across the new designs, actually from an old friend of mine who left to start his own Incense company and worked incredibly hard on these new designs. When we saw them, I called the guy and said we are coming to Bangalore to see you because we absolutely love your incense and really would love to distribute it in UK and Europe for you. He said he was more than happy to work with AW and would wait for us to come.. we secured the deal and placed a huge order.. and now it's here.. Check it out below..
Also arriving after a lot of work by our man Bryant.. are the new Himalayan Salt Cooking Plates..actually from the Salt Lamp company we have worked with for years.. they are already available in Spain and selling very well.
And just in time for the cooler weather.. cool Indian scarves.. Boho scarves that make you look like a world traveller.. we sold these years back and they are a solid staple product..
I'm always so excited to see new stock arrive..
And there is so much right now..
Our new Christmas fragrance products are selling really well.. we sold out of the initial production runs.. but today we have new stock being booked into the system.. grab it while you can. And just landed catch them while you can.. the all new Festive Fragrance Sets...
Take care and have a lovely weekend.
David
PS: Expect exciting and interesting news from Spain next week.
