Greetings from Sheffield - snowy Sheffield

This week has been mad, amazing, inspirational and a little stressful. Valentine's Day is almost upon us. The SOL is in full swing.

Last week I was telling you about my arrival here, the crashing, racking crisis in Spain and all the new stuff coming.. if you missed it, you can catch up here.

I'm staying in the Kenwood Hotel in Sheffield, there is a beautiful lake there, and I went for a walk and made a little video about how we humans have used love and romance to get us through the cold of the winter months.. Then I introduce my top 10 picks for the SOL (Season of Love).. I'll put a link to it below... and here.

Normally, I take a car from our car pool, or hire one while I'm here.. but for some reason, I just thought I'd manage with a combo of Uber and Friends just for the human connection.. and yes, learn so much. .every taxi driver has a life story to tell.. and I got to spend more time with my good friend Katk, who is a director at AW.. who kindly picked me up every morning. Thank you!!

A fresh, beautiful Sheffield morning..

There’s a real sense of building right now at Ancient Wisdom. Katka and I have been sitting and talking to everyone (as much as possible) and finding out how we can grow together.

We’re recruiting. We’re investing. We’re planning ahead — we have to grow this year. YOU have to grow this year..

One role I’m especially excited about is finding the right person to love, nurture and grow the Agnes & Cat brand. It’s a brand with a heart, a story, and huge potential — and it deserves someone who really gets it. Working at AW-Aromatics
We’re also looking to strengthen our marketing team, because the next chapter needs more voices, more creativity, and more energy.

Trade Show..?

Many people ask about the Birmingham Spring Faire.. we never exhibit.. So you won't find us there. But if you are passing Sheffield on the way there or back.. Why not call and see our showroom at AW HQ.. In my humble opinion far better than any stand in Birmingham. Showroom Sheffield.

You will be made very welcome (possibly by Rodrigo).. Serving the.. Best tea in town!

Spain Update

Toni, poor guy.. under so much stress.. working 24/7.. but I just spoke to him, and things are finally coming good. All the stock is now in one warehouse.. a new racking company is starting, and everything should be in place this coming week. They are already back to picking orders as normal.. WELL DONE TEAM.. Huge relief, lots of teamwork, and a proper sense that it’s coming right. Well, you know what they say about Spanish people.. (it's not true!).

The thing is, Toni has to finish this.. because when he has.. he is needed urgently in..

Kathmandu

Yes, it's travel time again.. Tomorrow I'm off to Nepal.. full report from there next week.. Hope you are coming along for the ride! After India.. going to be a wild ride I can promise you.. If Toni makes it there (I hope he does), we have a lot of work to do. New ideas, new inspirations, new partnerships… the adventure is about to begin again, and I’ll bring you along for the ride.

Speaking about the SOL.. here's my very personal take on it. Walking round the Lake at Kenwood Hall. looking a bit ridiculous.. I'm just learning how to use my new Insta360 5X camera.. I bought it for making YouTubes in Nepal and beyond.. Top 10 SOL products..

Actually, if it had arrived earlier (NEW this week), the stackable rings - the latest Sandra-designed product would have been in the list..
