Were we continue to get to know our new Spanish team, training them, preparing the warehouse and getting ready to launch the new AW concept in Spain & Europe.

It's all go I can tell you.. everyday a whirl of activity. There is so much to do, and so much to make happen and make happen quickly.. that Tomas (who is working round the clock poor guy) has come up with a new policy.. and banned the use of a popular Spanish word.. Can you guess what it is? Answer below, see if you can guess the banned word before the end.

We have a list of things to make happen, and our team is quickly taking the various tasks and making them happen one by one.. I love this part of company forming / team building / 

Last week I was telling you about a bombshell that hit us (figuratively) you can read about it here.

Today the racking company will deliver the racking, on Monday and Tuesday they will install it. And... actually I just arrived at the warehouse and huge truck is already here, early morning with all the racking our man Toni's first folk-lift job is unloading racking for 600 pallet spaces (later we will double this).. It's another first.. there are lots of firsts.. first customer registration, first happy customer, first re-order, first company lunch.. 

We all make unconscious (possibly irrational) prejudicial assumptions based on nationality.. eg.. Irish people are a bit thick.. Swedish totally blond.. French cheese eating communists..   Politicians are all dodgy and always bending the truth..  all obviously wrong on so many levels, erm except the last one possibly.. but we still laugh when a joke is made along these lines.   Spanish people are known to take things easy, to never rush, to never manage to finish a job, never answer an email - they are lazy and more interested in a party than working hard no?...  And yes I can think of particular people who might fit that description. But hey you can find that type of useless dipstick person in any country in the world. But I want to say categorically it certainly doesn't apply in Spain anymore (if ever) as a generalisation.  We are working with a awesome fantastic group of companies and people who are totally tuned to get things done.

I'm seriously impressed with the professionalism of the Spain companies and people we are working with. But still .. as we sort things out occasionally that banned word crops up... did you guess..?

Meanwhile back in the good old UK at AW HQ - things are beyond busy - everyone is picking and packing orders - everyone and their auntie. It's all hands on deck.. it's none stop running. Katka (our main girl in UK) is doing her level best to keep everyone sane and balanced. We are almost always a bit too busy - but this week and next are peak way-too-busy-weeks.. 

If you need stock for Christmas (and you do we know, we know you do) then my only advise is get it in as early as possible..
