Speaking of extreme weather.. Here in Sheffield it was a warm balmy 20c the other lunchtime when I popped out to get a  sandwich. Seems very strange to me that it feels like summer in Sheffield at the end of October..

Well it's almost Halloween, a time when we enjoy scaring each other in a fun way.. and usually this is jolly good for business in the gift trade.. I hope so! Soon it will be time to set the clocks back, darker nights and Bonfire night set the starting gun (or rocket) for the Christmas season to seriously commence. And that is when the gift trade really moves up a gear.. We are already very busy.. and generally, stock levels are good. 

The main reason I am here is for AW-Aromatic's move into the new factory.. step by step - organised by Erik and the team production lines are dismantled and reconstructed in our new place. One of the biggest hurdles was moving the beast - the huge soap extruding machine we bought from a French company a couple of years ago. It needed a special forklift truck that can lift six tons.. they tell me only one such machine is available in Sheffield.. but the job was done without drama and today I can see the soap being produced again.

It's not been ideal moving production at our busiest time - in the runup to Christmas.. but as they say often in Yorkshire.. "It is what it is". We were supposed to move back in April.. but we live in difficult times and delays happened. Our growth plans had to be set back.. but now, finally it's time to think positive and all hands to the deck to move forward. 

We can easily double production and more.. 

My idea is that we choose our future customers carefully - our dream customers are our partners in this adventure, have similar values and are creative..

New stock arrived from Indonesia, including some beautiful new oversized Dream Catchers.. which are hot selling. These are special next level.. merging the decorative Balinese umbrella known as a Payung with feather free dream catchers.. We developed them with one of our old suppliers.. as far as I know, totally unique to Ancient Wisdom. 

I'm also delighted to see our Macrame Angels catching on fast.. beautiful for Christmas but not exclusively a Christmas line.. you can sell all year round.
