Greetings from Spain

I'm just packing up ready to go back to Asia. It's been a hectic few days in Spain, I had to extend my planned time here but at least we seem to be making progress.

I was chatting to a lawyer friend of mine.. he said all of Spain all, everyone he knows is appalled by the language of Boris in Parliament. "We always looked to the English as the example of politeness and fairness" this guy is mad and somehow we let him be in charge. 

Brexit is a serious business, lots of British people in Spain are thinking of leaving because of the uncertainty of their future here, and the economy, lots of businesses exist because of them. What happened to you Brits? he asked, Have you all gone totally mad?

Putting the serious consequences aside for a moment, what I find interesting is that the whole world is following the Brexit story.. I met two guys from Zambia in gemstones wholesale place in China. Got chatting.. and all they wanted to know about was Brexit. From India to Morocco to the middle of no-where in China people follow Brexit like it is a box set on Netflix. I really don't understand why our Brexit machinations just so fascinating to everyone..

All I can say is that those words.. "Surrender Bill" and "Do or die"  are no accident.. they have been carefully chosen to create emotions.. In marketing, words are vitally important.. this is marketing, and marketing is power, in the wrong hands - very dangerous.

Please, everyone.. Calm Down! don't get sucked into the emotional traps laid out by people who know how to hack your emotions/votes.

Katka in the UK has been attending Brexit readiness seminars.. reading everything possible, getting all the advice. Lots of letters from the government, telling us to get ready.. How? What do we need to do? When it all boils down they don't have a fringing clue.

At AW we do have a kinda plan.. our warehouse in Slovakia and now in Spain.. but how we will deploy things? - who knows until it happens.

Hopefully, we have the beginnings of our team in place for the new Spain warehouse, I have been interviewing and chatting to prospective team members. There is lots of talent in Spain. It's all going to come together in November, right now just preparing the ground ready for the big launch.  Talking about calming down.. I really am getting excited about our new Spain project. must try not to bore everyone.

Olive tree update.. a few weeks ago I was telling you about our new olive tree (it's a meta-fore also for our new Spain company), the fox that had been digging up the soil at night has gone, stopped it's vandalism. So now it is doing well, a huge crop of olives are in the branches, and the other night I found an owl sitting in the branches.. what does it mean? In the bible it says judge a tree by it's fruit, not how pretty it looks. I need to learn how to cure olives so we can eat them.. 

Got to leave our olive tree (and house) for a few weeks. Tomorrow back to China will meet up with Tomas who has been working day and night ceaselessly on the next ranges of products that we hope will fly of your shelves and websites.. We hope to finalise some deals next week, and then it's off to India, to do something similar. Then if all goes to plan - but who knows with crazy Brexit.
