Greetings from AW HQ Sheffield

Things are happening, we are moving..
Last week I was telling you how we needed someone to trust us with something big.

Today things are happening.. really happening.. great excitement, the great leap forward is happening :-)

Today is a historic day, well almost. We have the key to the new home of AW. It's not quite the end of the story, but it's looking like we have a new home. 
It is 77 days since our main warehouse burned down, if you have been following this story - you will know the drama, tears and triumphs over the last few weeks.
But now is time for a major, massive logistical operation.. something like 6000 product locations needs moving from one warehouse to another 15 minutes away from here.

So here it is..

It is in it's own compound, self contained.. almost 100,000 square feet. Offices, big carpark, 10 loading bays including container docking bays. This is a serious step forward, and after we move we expect to improve our service levels, increase the product ranges and offer a ramp of profitable opportunities for you, our customers. 
But we need your help. The building apparently doesn't have a name. Worse than this the address without a name could be several places in that postcode. search the postcode and you find a number of buildings with the same (almost) address.
Our new landlord suggested we rename it "AW House" - Adam our accountant suggested "AWThe  Giftorium"  but now it's your turn to suggest a new name.. 
Like everything at AW we are shaped by our customers.. so let us know your suggestions, the winner will get massive kudos, fame, an invitation to the official launch party as the guest of honor and or a decent bottle of champagne. 

That's the good news, the downside (at least in the short term) is the disruption to orders. Please be kind to us, try and understand that orders will be delayed probably from next weekend, but after we hope to catch up.
The other good news is that several containers have been stacking up at the port, and now we can release them - so lots of new stock can be diverted directly to the new warehouse.. 
Particularly exciting are several ranges of incense from India.. It was last October that Tomas and I first tried to source this Incense at a trade show in Delhi, at that time they told us the brands were not available to us (signed to another distributor), but perceived. Eventually, we managed to get a meeting with the big boss of the incense factory, a delightful charming guy who's French wife was the product designer. We pitched him about how AW would be his best trading partner in Europe and eventually we did a deal. 

This was a few days before the Indian lock-down, we escaped to Indonesia just before the airports were closed. Tomas escaped back to the UK just before Indonesia closed and I (regular readers will know) was trapped there until Sept. 
It's been a hell of year.. yes.. I know, I know (for you also) but heck when I think back that meeting seems like another age and time..
