Greetings from Spain

How are you doing today?

Here in Spain, it's still almost too hot.. I'm trying not to complain. Last week I was telling you about heatwaves, Holly and India. If you missed it, you can catch up here.

I hear good weather is also blessing the UK this weekend.. so hopefully you can enjoy it...  Rodrigo, our marketing man in the UK.. will certainly be enjoying it. Here he is enjoying the weather with the recently expanded team.  This week, we are excited to welcome Alex (the cool guy in the baseball cap).

A traditional AW picture.. always includes a Buddha statue.

Toni is stressed.

Toni, our man in Spain, has had a busy (and stressful) week - a container from India finally arrived after clearing customs with what seems to me ridiculously unfair treatment. (I'm trying not to complain). Despite having all our paperwork carefully prepared and in place, answering every customs query and despite never ever doing anything dodgy.  The delays in customs create storage charges, which we have to pay even though it's not us causing the delay.. and then, when everything is found to be in order - someone decides they want to off load the container to check if the number of cartons declared is correct. Guess what we have to pay for that check also.. and more delay because the person sent to check was off work ill.. more storage charges.  And after unloading, of course, they cannot get it all back in the container.. the balance has to be sent on pallets to us.. who pays for that.. yes you guessed it. Actually, the cost of the products goes up by 5-10% because of this kind of bureaucracy.. so in the end everyone pays. I'm trying not to complain!

Party in Spain

I have mentioned before - how the team in Spain love to party - almost any excuse. Usually when I'm in Spain in the summer, we will have a team building event.. on the beach in a chiquito with plenty of food and drink. For some reason, this time the team wants to use my villa for a pool party.. haha, it should be fun. Last time we did that, I was pushed fully clothed in the pool.. and the culprit has never been found. They are coming over later.. wish me luck.

Tomas and his family are also here in Spain (he is supposed to be on holiday) - and yesterday, having launched the NEW Dropshipping site in Slovakia.. Raul came down to join us in Spain.

So the old team all together.. and due at my house shortly.

Meanwhile in the UK..

We have a massive summer sale underway.. see details below.

And Holly has been getting touchy feely with the felt coasters and other Nepal felt products. She is asking if you can sell this?

More details below..

Please subscribe to our YouTube channel and leave a comment (some feedback about the Nepal mats would be great), then DM us on Instagram, and we will send you a free shipping voucher* for your next order. More Info here.

So let's not complain.. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

More updates next week.

David
