Greetings from Ketewel, Bali.

Yes, folks I'm back to the island of the Gods... I have lots of jobs to do here very quickly, including acquiring a China visa, meeting the Digital Marketing team, catching up with Ringo (our man in Indonesia) and also they need a pool boy... More below.

I got the pool boy job..

Last week I was telling you about my time in Slovakia with Tomas and the team.. Tomas was on TV and discovered that our Queen once visited.. if you missed it you can catch up here.

So from Slovakia I took a taxi to Vienna airport and booked myself onto an EVA Airlines flight. The first thing I learn is that it's not pronounced Eva like my Mothers middle name, but like you would pronounce TNT.. EE V AAA.. and apparently it is short for Evergreen Airways. I was a little apprehensive because the website and booking process was all a bit cranky with bad taste in typefaces and a very odd logo. So I was pleasantly surprised to find myself on a brand new Dreamliner with big windows, super polite staff and excellent food. A 12 hour flight to Taipa in Taiwan. The plane skirted the coast of the island and I got a pretty good view. It looks mystical and mountainous with large glassy wetlands making land and sea hard to discern. The Portuguese who first discovered it called it Ilha Formosa, meaning "Beautiful Island". I can also see why it might be hard to invade those wetlands are not boat or tank friendly and the mountains give a commanding view of your attackers. I spent 3 hours in the business lounge observing Taiwan folk and then onward on a 4 hour flight onwards to Denpasar.

I was met as always by Ringo and his assistant Bondan.. and as we drove to the hotel they filled me in with all the happenings at AW Indonesia. I had arrived the day before Galungan a Bali holiday.. like Christmas day for Bali.

So a day full of pretty ceremonies and a chance to get some rest and relaxation. I met Bondan and his wife Debbie for a late dinner on the beach and after walking along the shore we was lucky enough to see the Blood Moon Rise, almost like a sunrise but a big red moon rising dramatically and rapidly into the night sky..

Regular readers will recall we bought a beach bar, and turned it into dream offices to help attract the best programmers and digital marketing folk possible. Since I was last here Raul and Peter with Debbie's help have recruited and trained 10 people. Totally AW style multi cultural.. we have guys and girls, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Javanese, Sumatra and local Balinese people. There is a Buddha statue in the garden, a Balinese Shelf Temple on a wall and a room with prayer mats in the back. The next day I went along to meet the team. One by one they introduced themselves, (in perfect English) told me where they hail from and what they are currently working on. My initial reaction - so young and earnest! Like a start-up which I guess what it is.. watch this space because one day soon when we are ready these guys are skilled and primed to skyrocket your business. Then Bondan took me to the AW warehouse just up the road. A storm had blown off the roof of the office, but it had been fixed already. New racking in the warehouse because we are fighting for space.. and some new staff to meet.

Also I was thrilled to see some really innovative product samples.. A next level incense burner (idea of Toni in Spain) the prototype has been made and I tried it and it works a treat. That's going boost incense sales and hopefully we can get it to you first ahead of the market.

So it's all happening in Bali!!

And new things like the Volcano effect humidifiers. Coco found these and I ordered them when in China not long back.. they arrived already!

They are awesome like a mini volcano and with dramatic effects. Should be an easy sell in a physical shop were you can demo.
