Greetings from Spain on the day after the longest day.

Hope you are doing well and the summer is treating you well so far.

It's the Euro season and usually not a good time for the gift trade, but let's see how it pans out this time.

It's a real Ancient Wisdom time of year.. around this time almost every culture has developed Ancient Wisdom practices and rituals.

In UK - It's all about Stonehenge.. it is the focal point of summer solstice celebrations. Thousands gather at this ancient stone circle to witness the sunrise aligning with the Heel Stone, a spectacle dating back over 4,500 years. To purify and protect in Spain.. Toni tells me.

Here in Spain this weekend it's all happening.. Noche de San Juan, or St. John's Night, is a lively celebration marking the summer solstice. On the evening of June 23, beaches across Spain will light up with bonfires and fireworks. In old days (before health & safety) people would jump over fires and into the sea, traditions believed to purify and protect. Except that jumping over fires and swimming in the sea whilst drinking sangria turns out is not particularly purifying or protecting. It's still a night of music, dancing, and joyful gatherings, celebrating light and renewal. In Malaga a huge midnight beach party.. (of course)

Ringo (our man in Bali) tells me the summer solstice coincides with Purnama Sasih Sade (Full Moon Celebration) - it happens tonight also on the beaches like Spain but very different... he tells me it's all about purification and renewal.. Catch the Bali vibe with our Bali Parasols..

Meanwhile in India - Chatterjee tells me.. .They are hoping that the Solstice (as it often is) will bring the cooling Monsoon and some relief from the heat. Meanwhile Mr Modi, the world's biggest yoga enthusiast is making everyone participate in International Yoga Day today, engaging in mass yoga sessions that highlight wellness and spiritual harmony. And in China. Coco (you China agent) tells me the summer solstice is called.. Xiàzhì, and is a time for honoring ancient customs and nature. Traditional foods like dumplings and noodles are enjoyed, symbolizing prosperity and longevity. The Dragon Boat Festival, though not always aligned with the solstice, is celebrated around this time, featuring boat races, zongzi (sticky rice wrapped in leaves), and commemorations of the poet Qu Yuan. By the way Money Cats are back in stock..

I didn't know this but in Slovakia, like in Spain they like to jump over fires on the Solstice, a tradition.
