Greetings from Spain.

The weather is better in the UK I think.. but things are brightening up, and anyway no time to lay in the sun.. too much to do.
Coco (my wife and your China agent) is here and working round the clock. Last night she was remotely supervising another container being loaded from our China warehouse at 3am our time.. she is endlessly chasing orders and connecting via WeChat voice messages with suppliers, shipping companies and our China warehouse.
I have been spending time with Toni our man in Spain, discussing whether our warehouse is big enough, and how long (as we expand) before we have to move. 
But even though there is so much to do here.. I'm making plans to travel.. actually also need to squeeze a holiday (kind of) in to the schedule.. so stay tuned for details.

Graciela our talented designer (and webmaster) here in Spain kindly redesigned the header to this newsletter.. do you like it?
I wanted to change the tagline from "David's Travel Blog" - to News from around AW .. but as usual these days they just ignored me. 
My point is that there are things are happening all the time everywhere all around AW - all around the world.. it's like a dynamic creative force all purposed to deliver the best in giftware to your store.. 
For example...

1. I'm making plans to go to India and visit Mr Chatterjee, earlier this year we made an investment into their factory and I want to see how it is going. And see if we can't produce some super cool eco-friendly bags and things.. ideas please. Mr Chatterjee tells me that it's well over 40c there and unbearably humid. But they continue to work..  and are keen to make AW the best place for jute and cotton bags.. I really love the oversized Tie-dye cotton bags.. but we need more ideas to make the factory busy. Mr Chatterjee asks me everyday if I have made my plan to visit. 



2. The marketing / software development office on the beach in Bali. If you are a regular reader you will know that we bought a beach bar not long ago turned it into  digital marketing company cool office.  Our main IT wizard Raul who lives in KL not far away has been working with Peter from Slovakia to develop an ACE team.. and  Bondan and his wife Debbie have been nurturing and caring for it including organising bonding camping trips at weekends.
I really need to go and meet the new members of the team and anyway Bondan and Ringo message me every week.. when I'm I coming?



3. I didn't go to Turkey this year.. and our lovely agent Hatice who so diligently distributed the funds we raised after the awful earthquake - is ultra keen to work on more products with us.. the exchange rate now is incredible.. so in theory at least there should be good value to be found. The Bamboo Socks have been a great hit .. (father's day default gift) and the carpets particularly good in the UK market (all sold out - stock coming).
Strangely as I type this Hatice messaged me.. (she must have physic powers) "When are you coming to Turkey David?"


4. In AW-Aromatics.com Tomas has been continuing the Summer Shake Up and things are happening at pace.. Actually that factory is a gold mine of opportunities.. and my feeling is that we have for so long been sat on our backsides not really opening up the possibilities to you our customers as much as we could. The website has been revamped, and everyday lots of new products listed.. the mega trend in wellness and skincare is perfect for the independent business to capture a share.. check it out.. we need your feed back and ideas.. One major trend is Rosemary Essential Oil as a hair growth agent.. Yes I know we have known that for years it's practically ancient history.. but it is trending now.. so Tomas (who strangely worries about his hair) is into this.. 5. Likewise Rodrigo at our main office.. AncientWisdom.biz has been reaching out to find what our customers are looking for.. we need your help to shape AW in the future..

Making a travel plan is not easy... haha but I will update you soon.. 

It's almost Father's Day.. and the wedding season is in full swing..
