Greetings from Sunny Sheffield

Yes, I am here at Ancient Wisdom HQ - and it's such a delight to be in amongst the home team.

Last week was the Easter newsletter (I was in Spain) and was all about re-birth - right at the time AW main UK website was being reborn. You can read about it here.

Since then I have made the hop from Malaga to Yorkshire, and strangely and very unusually it was warmer in here than Spain.. 

Must be global warming, no wonder everyone is protesting down in London. 

The awful news from Sri Lanka was particularly distressing as I was just there a few weeks ago, as regular readers will know. My wife and I visited at least one of those churches and stayed in the hotel next to the Shangri-la - our friends had lunch in there.

We have an IT team based in Kuala Lumpur, and one of the team is from Sri Lanka - he was visiting his home town when it happened. It all seems so shockingly close. Now the foreign office has advised against travelling there. I was planning to go back sometime soon.. this time to do business - gemstones are good - and I will not be changing my plans...  why should we let them win?

It's all go at AW - so many projects underway.. lots of beautiful new products all bubbling away and so much enthusiasm - it's intoxicating :)

The new revamped website has got everybody excited and somehow even more motivated, it's quite exhausting.. and so much love and positive feedback. Although I keep finding broken links or formatting errors.. I'm fixing them at 4am when I can't sleep :)

You won't realise this but the backend of the website was also revamped - the part that enables us to process your orders and run everything from the warehouse to the website - it's all new and improved and I hope will enable us to serve you faster and better. The old system has gone to the server in the sky, it's dead and gone.. our customer service team are on a new platform and still finding out how everything works, so I hope you can bear with them if they seem slightly hesitant when you call them.

This next week there is quite a few deliveries expected.. tumble stones from South Africa, a container from Indonesia, an Indian shipment and a Salt Lamp container.. then there are three containers from China to arrive pretty close together.. 

This week Singing Bowls from India came.. so they are back in stock..

There was a bit of a lull in incoming shipments because we were stocking up ahead of the Brexit day that never was, now we are bit back to normal.. getting over the Brexit Bump..  and getting ready for the wedding season.

How many weddings are you invited to this year?

Are you stocked with wedding related items - things for wedding favours, church etc? Now is the time to keep those wedding bells in mind..

Next week I will be in Slovakia at our AW Gifts outpost. We have a distribution warehouse in the pretty town of Trnova not far from Bratislava..
