The first Friday newsletter of 2023. Today in Spain is Christmas.. it's a holiday. Last night the Three Kings came.. throwing sweets and treats as the carnival went past. Sweets, you didn't know you wanted.. but here they come - lots of them an abundance..
It's a great fun way to start the new year, a fresh start and bright sweet abundant outlook. It's time to re-focus, get energised, let's get this party started!
I spent this week making big bold plans for the coming year..
And I had a really smart helper - you must have heard already but if not... prepare to be amazed.
And this helper is really going to change the world.
You remember the first time you opened google?. (if you're old like me) you will. Gosh it was twenty years ago.
In those days google was so clean, simple and useful. It's still useful, but these days you have to wade past far too many adverts, maps, shopping boxes, before you can find a list of websites that you can click to find what you want..

The key to using this jolly smart AI friend is to ask very specific questions .
After you have logged in.. type this.. I have a gift shop in Sheffield (put your town), and I want to increase my sales of Gemstone Power Bracelets (you chose a product), list me 20 ideas to do this.
Check that list.. if you want more - click "regenerate response".. I just did and the second list gave me more creative ideas than the first..
WOW!! - it's amazing.. I was having dinner with friends who dream of opening a restaurant.. I typed.. Please create me a menu for a new Cuban / Japanese restaurant. 5 starters, 5 main courses and 5 deserts.
Imagine you gave a chef that job, how many weeks would it take to research and design.. in seconds it pumps out a pretty damn perfect menu. Jaw dropping stuff!!

Here is a quick round up of news around AW.. at the beginning of 2023.
In Spain.. well as usual it's party time. But the team (MFT) has been working hard. The warehouse is already too small and the offices too full.. but with creative energy and ingenuity, Toni and the team are finding ways to manage.
In two years our lease ends and we will move to a bigger warehouse.. onwards and upwards.

In Slovakia.. Erika and the team are storming into the new year. New website is being launched for Sweden - so that's exciting.

In China.. Coco is struggling - half the people have covid, and that means everything has ground to a halt. It's Chinese New Year soon.. so Coco is working hard to despatch the last couple of containers before closing.. and they keep getting cancelled, stock deliveries delayed.. so a bit of a headache. Good news is all the family have had Covid (except Coco) and recovered now. It seems the storm is passing.
In Bali - It was Galungan day - when the gods come down to earth. They are also having terrible storms.. part of our warehouse roof was blown off. But Ringo has it sorted.
In India - Mr Chatterjee and his son have a major new project underway.. we will be visiting soon.. so stand by for more details.
In AW HQ at Affinity Park. Rodrigo and his team are busy uploading new products, and it's surprisingly busy. Opening sales 50% up on this time last year.. I hope this is a good sign for 2023.
