New Year Greetings from Spain

The first newsletter of 2024.

Last week was the last of 2023 and I made a recap, a kind of audit of achievements of the year aw AW.. if you missed it you can catch up here.

Last night it rained. Flashes of lightning and rumblings of thunder woke me up. I got out of bed and went to the terrace to witness the rain..

You see this part of Spain has not had any significant rain in months, we are in a dire dry mess. Bush fires in the hills. Strict water measures are in place, our garden is gradually withering away, the pool cannot be refilled and huge fines can be levied on anyone found with even a watering can in hand. Helicopters sweep down the coast looking for offenders.

OK ok I know.. it's dry in Spain but so wet with floods and storms in the UK.. sorry I'm not trying to upset you.. stay with me..

Yesterday morning driving into work I saw a vivid rainbow.. I snapped a photo..

A promise of better times ahead..

Why? Because I realised for a rainbow to appear there must be water in the air.. maybe the drought is coming to an end. Literally Hope is in the air.

A metaphor for 2024. Let's hope so.

So far so good, we seem to be kicking off the year super busy, as the sales start and smart retailers restock. The only problem is delayed containers (we have eight I believe) that have been redirected to avoid the conflicts off Yemen means that Valentine's Stock could be in short supply, and probably arrive too late. The good news is that lots of best selling V-Day stock comes from our home grown aromatics factory in Sheffield (AW-Aromatics.com) so at least you can find pink bath bombs. Check out our Valentines Page for inspiration.

Here in Spain it is kind of Christmas eve.. The Three Kings will parade tonight distributing literally tons of sweets to kids of all ages.

It's still a working day in Spain.. and that means a good excuse to have an office party.. Lot's of traditional sweet foods and good wishes.

Yesterday we did our annual staff review, talked to all the key staff in Spain one by one. Updated them with our big plans, discussed objectives, ideas, personal career paths and enquired about wellbeing and happiness at work.. So much enthusiasm, earnest heartfelt speeches and awesome team spirit..

Toni and his team have done very well but soon Toni is travelling with me on this year's Epic Asia Trip.. so they will need to be more self reliant and we made a few changes to make sure everything is running smoothly and this year we continue to delight our customers.

Back in the UK.. and it's all happening. Despite everything an Indonesian container made it through... so new stock see below..

We have been working on a major price crash for our signature Essential Oils Range. And this week we are excited to launch our permanent LOWER PRICES..

So I'm excited to announce..

The team at AW-Aromatics.com have been working on this for the last two months and the new prices (same high quality) land on all our websites across UK and Europe from today.

Other wholesalers do it differently, charge higher prices and do big (apparent) discounts.. we are trying hard to more straightforward than other wholesalers. It's our new year's resolution to bring you the best Fast Selling Products, always the Keenest Prices. (Let us know if you can buy anything cheaper). In 2024 aim to have less gimmicks and more simply beautiful stock that sells great.
