Fire in Spain

I hope you are well, and trade is good.
Last week I was telling you about the trade show in Delhi, and a report from Mr Chatterjee - you can read about it here.
Here in Spain it rained the other day and it was the best thing ever.
You might have seen the pictures of the fire raging in the hills behind the coast.. at one point 42 fire planes and helicopters were fighting the biggest fire ever seen in Spain.
Every few minutes a yellow plane buzzed over my house and out to sea to scoop up water and then fly very low and return to dump it on the approaching blaze.
On Sunday I was having lunch with friends at the beach, slightly strange watching the smoke rising behind the mountains while those yellow planes flew past.
The smoke rising from the hills reminded me of Bali and the ash rising from the volcano.
Anyway the rain was very welcome and I believe a big help to the firefighters, I understand there are still fighting but things are under control.
Talking about Bali.. There has been some good news. Business visa applications are open again and a government announcement on Thursday said borders were open for business trips with immediate effect. I have already submitted my application, assuming there is no problem. I could be on my way to Indonesia within weeks. So watch this space for developments.
Talking of developments..
Regular readers will know about the terrible fire that destroyed our main warehouse in July 2020, well it is being rebuilt bigger and better.. the plan now is to move our aromatics factory into that space and massively increase production capacity.
It's really taking shape, and we are getting excited about the move.
Meanwhile in Slovakia, our company there AWGifts.eu really needs to move to a bigger warehouse. When I was there with Tomas a few weeks ago we went to visit the available sites.
Our short list is down to two locations, one close to the Amazon warehouse, and another very close to our current warehouse. And to say the competition between the two landlords was fierce is an understatement.
This week has been a series of conference calls with Tomas, the agent and the developers. We still haven't decided which way to jump but the deal on the table is surprisingly good.
So we could be moving as soon as January next year.. It's all very exciting.
Talking about exciting - a new range of bath bombs is about to hit, radical and fresh.. Donut shaped bath bombs..
Calm down, not officially launched yet.. but very soon.
The only cloud on the horizon is the approaching inflation storm.. a lot of price rises lately, we have done our best to absorb as much as possible but from Monday there will be some unavoidable price rises on most aromatics products.
You should have received an email already with details.
So just a heads up order now to avoid the price rises. You also might want to think about reviewing your retail selling prices.
I believe we remain competitive, if you can buy like-for-like products cheaper - please do let us know.
