Handcrafted in Nepal from 100% breathable cotton, this hooded zip-up jacket blends bohemian heritage with easy, year-round layering. Featuring block-printed mandala motifs, earthy striped bands, and a drawstring hood, it offers standout artisan style.

Channel authentic bohemian style with the Nomad Sari Himalayan Soul Jacket. Handcrafted in Kathmandu, Nepal, from 100% natural, breathable cotton, this hooded jacket carries on the heritage of the historic Hippie Trail. Designed with a full front zip, drawstring hood, and functional side pockets, it offers exceptional year-round versatility — wear it zipped on cooler days or open over a plain T-shirt as an easy-going layer.

The stand-out feature is its rich visual texture: an intricate blend of block-printed mandalas, sacred symbols, and earthy stone-washed stripe panels. This artisan finish gives independent retailers a distinctive story that high-street brands cannot replicate. Ideal for festival-goers, travellers, and customers seeking comfortable clothing with genuine character, its eye-catching design makes a strong impact on store rails. Direct-imported with strong margins, it serves as a reliable, high-conversion staple for lifestyle, boutique, and alternative fashion collections.

What is the difference between the Kathmandu Shirts and the striped Grandad Shirts? +

Both share the same relaxed, collarless shape and are artisan-made in Nepal from cotton. The Kathmandu styles use calmer base colours with a decorated or hand-painted pocket detail. The Grandad styles are distinguished by their colourful vertical stripes and practical flap pocket. The Kathmandu shirts also extend into larger sizing on selected designs.

Are these men’s shirts or can they be sold as unisex? +

The cut is traditionally sold as a men’s shirt, but the straight, relaxed shape works well as unisex clothing. Women often wear this style open over a T-shirt or vest. It is much better to show customers the actual chest measurements than to become involved in translating men’s sizes into women’s sizes.

How do the sizes run? How do the sizes run? +

They are designed for a relaxed fit, but customers should still measure rather than relying on their usual size letter.

Should a customer choose a larger size when wearing it over a T-shirt? +

If their chest measurement sits comfortably inside the stated range, the normal size should leave room for a light T-shirt. Customers at the upper end of a size—or those wanting a particularly loose overshirt look—will usually be happier going up. The tape measure settles this argument better than the label.

How should the shirts be washed? +

Always follow the garment care label. The safest treatment is to hand wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent, reshape while damp and line dry. Avoid bleach, long soaking and tumble drying. Iron on a moderate setting from the reverse and never place a hot iron directly onto a hand-painted pocket.

Will the cotton shrink or release colour? +

Cotton can shrink when exposed to hot water or a hot dryer, so these should not be sold as shrink-proof unless the label specifically says so. Stronger colours may release a little dye during the first wash; cold water and washing separately will help protect both the shirt and the rest of the laundry.

Are the shirts made from organic or Nepal-grown cotton? +

The supported claim is that the shirts are made in Nepal from cotton. Do not describe the cotton as organic, Nepal-grown or Fairtrade-certified. “Artisan-made in Nepal” and “fairly traded” tell the genuine story without adding claims that cannot be proved.
