Fossils (from Latin fossus,meanin "having been dug up") are the mineralized or otherwise preserved remains or traces of animals, plants, and other organisms.. Fossils vary in age from the thousands to the billions of years and preserve a portion of of the deceased organism such as bones, teeth and exoskeletons.
Here we have a small range of fossils of various creatures dating back into the millions of years. Each one is unique just as the creature that it was formed from would have been and therefore sizes, shapes and colouration vary.
